At the far end of our building is one of the two on-site gift shops.  Just above the entrance is a sign hand-painted by local artist Francisco Vargas that reads simply: "Tiendita"

    The literal translation of the word means "Little Shop," and  combines the spirit of an upscale museum gift store with the charming flair of a artisan shop that one would encounter while vacationing in a Latin American country.   

  You will discover an ever-changing inventory and a wide variety of colorful, handmade and unique items.  We have an eclectic selection of books for artists and children, CDs in English and Spanish, reasonably-priced posters and prints, greeting cards,  hand-crafted jewelry, and one-of-a-kind rebozos.   

  We also proudly feature locally and internationally handcrafted garments and folk-art creations.   

  Some of our most popular items are blouses and dresses with cross-stitching patterns that have been passed down for generations.

   The Tiendita is open during regular gallery operating hours and staffed by a group of dedicated, knowledgeable and friendly volunteers.
